Incomplete: Received mission from the illithid Glor to hunt down Rogue Thought, another illithid considered dangerous. Discovered RT’s lair. Encountered and defeated four Githyanki, rescuing Arriz. Encountered a duergar in some sort of abattoir; she immediately attacked and was killed before we could obtain any information from her. After 3.5h of play, we did not reach Rogue Thought.

Drawn into an enchanted book’s demiplane, the adventurers forged an alliance rescuing satyrs from harassing ravens. Escorting the fey, they fought off Beast Lord berserkers, won the satyrs’ wine, and befriended the sprite Wheeldoli and the treant Feynor, who gifted a potion of hill giant strength. Kragor’s arcane eye spied a slumbering grick and captive dryads; Asha drank the potion, became a juggernaut, and pummeled the grick, ettercaps, and a hag. A freed dryad’s vision of the Cult of Malar led to the Pool of Eternal Spring, where Cass’s hypnotic pattern left the berserkers for Wheeldoli’s wolves; the trio slew the cultists and the Corrupted Avatar of Lurue to save the demiplane.
